Common questions

Straight answers, including the awkward ones. If yours is not here, email hello@hostly-reviews.com and a person replies within two business days, Monday to Friday.

How do I cancel?

In Hostly, open Settings and choose Manage my plan. That opens Stripe, where you cancel in one click. No email required, no retention call, no hoops.

Your service continues until the end of the month you have already paid for. You keep full access until then.

Will I be charged after the free trial?

Yes, unless you cancel first. The trial is 7 days, your card is taken at signup, and the first charge of $99 happens on day 8.

We email you three days before, with the exact date and the exact amount, so the charge is never a surprise. Cancel any time in those 7 days and you are charged nothing.

Can I get a refund?

Monthly subscription. We do not refund unused time within a billing period. If you cancel partway through a month, you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for, and nothing charges after that.

How to ask. Email hello@hostly-reviews.com from the address on your account. We reply within two business days. Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually appear within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.

How do I change my card?

Same place: Settings, then Manage my plan. Stripe handles the card directly. Hostly never sees or stores your card number.

Why does my review data look stale, or missing?

Hostly checks your Google reviews once every morning, in your own timezone, and drafts replies to the new ones before you open. You can also tap Check for new any time you want a fresh look. The app shows you exactly when it last checked.

If a check ever fails, Hostly deliberately keeps your last known-good numbers rather than showing you a zero. So if the figures look frozen, that is Hostly refusing to guess, and it is worth emailing us.

Why did my rating or review count change?

Because Google's did. Reviews get added, edited and removed on Google all the time, and Hostly reports what is actually on your listing at the last check. Hostly never edits, hides or filters your reviews.

Do you write and post the replies for me?

Hostly writes the draft. You approve it. Nothing is ever published without your tap, and anything sensitive is held back and flagged before you can approve it.

Today the final step is a copy and paste onto your Google listing, which takes seconds. Direct posting arrives once Google approves Hostly's access.

Can I add a second location?

Not yet. One Hostly account covers one business. If you run more than one location, email us and we will sort something out rather than have you guess.

How do I export my data?

Open Settings and tap Download my data. You get a file with your account, your restaurant, and your reviews with their drafted replies (the 500 most recent; email us for the full history). Your card is not in it, Stripe holds that, not us. Prefer we send it? Email hello@hostly-reviews.com and we will.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

We keep it for 90 days after your paid period ends, in case you come back or want an export. After that it is deleted. Ask for an export any time in that window.

Who do I contact, and how fast will you answer?

hello@hostly-reviews.com, and a person answers within two business days, Monday to Friday. Usually much sooner. There are no ticket numbers and no chatbot.

Hostly never gates, filters or hides your reviews, and never asks an unhappy customer to skip leaving one. That is against Google's rules and it is not how we work.
